Meet Amit

Amit Sharma is a skilled and passionate Dhrupad singer, deeply rooted in the traditions of Indian classical music.

From a young age, he was introduced to the world of sound and resonance by his grandfather, a key figure in shaping his early musical journey. This early exposure to Dhrupad—a genre of music that emphasizes the purity of sound and deep connection with the self—instilled in Amit a lifelong devotion to the art form.

However, after his grandfather’s passing when Amit was just 16, his journey led him to further his studies under the guidance of renowned masters in Bhopal, where he lived and learned in the ancient guru-shishya tradition, a method where students live closely with their teacher to fully immerse themselves in the learning process.
