You’ll learn ancient techniques, work with your breath, and discover how deep listening can help release stress and open up energy. I invite you to dive in, and let’s begin this incredible journey together!

No matter how much time you have, this journey is yours to take at your own pace. Stick with it, even on the days when it feels hard or slow.

Finding your voice isn’t a race; it’s a practice of listening, tuning in, and letting yourself grow.

The key is to create your own rhythm—a routine that feels natural and grounding to you. Keep showing up, and you’ll notice small shifts that lead to big transformations. Stay patient, stay consistent, and trust the process.

Let’s begin!

Journey into your Core

The lower Octave: Cultivating a Profound Mind-Body-Soul Connection and opening to the flow state.

Resonance and the Nervous System

Sound vibrations, in the way we culivate them here in these exercises, have a profound impact on the body, particularly through their interaction with the nervous system.

When we use our voice to create vibrations in a open and conscious way, these waves travel through the body, directly affecting the vagus nerve. This important nerve runs from the brain through the vocal cords and diaphragm, playing a crucial role in regulating our state of being. When activated by sound, the vagus nerve helps shift the body into a state of relaxation and healing.

Physical and Emotional Release

As the diaphragm opens and relaxes with deep, slow breathing and sound, unconscious tension within the body is revealed and released. The vibration of the voice is actually able to physically touch and transform deep tissues, organs, and energy flow.

This resonance has the power to release stored emotions and memories, promoting a sense of liberation and clarity.

Harmonizing the Body

By aligning the vibration of the voice with the body, we enter a state of harmony. This process activates and strengthens the nervous system, encouraging a natural state of balance and well-being.

With regular practice, these sound vibrations create a flow state where the mind, body, and soul are in sync, fostering a deeper connection to oneself and the world around.

Core Values

Ancient core values go beyond mere techniques, diving into the essence of listening and mindful repetition.

This practice is about more than just sound; it's about cultivating awareness and presence.

By listening deeply and repeating with intention, we connect with a journey that unfolds naturally, guiding us inward.

This process fosters a deeper understanding of ourselves and our path, helping us to remain grounded and present.

By embracing these timeless principles, we align with a practice that deepens our understanding and enhances our journey towards self-awareness and inner peace.

Exercise 1: Bringing Vibration into Your Belly

The lower Octave

The lower octave, or "Karaj," is about delving into the root, the "Mooladhara," where much of our foundational energy lies dormant.

This area is filled with untapped potential and light, akin to hidden sparks within ashes.

By journeying into this root through sound, we can access and awaken these hidden energies, like uncovering jewels deep within the sea. This practice not only energizes the core but also activates the nerves ending in this region, including the parasympathetic nervous system, bringing a deeper sense of connection and vitality.

his exercise is about grounding your voice deeply within your body, allowing you to connect with the physical vibration of sound.

Here we are using sound to unlock and awaken inner energy.

By staying with the sound in your lower abdomen, you will explore the hidden channels within your nervous system. This practice will start connecting you with your body's deeper potential.

Instructions and Key Points:

  • Start with a Ground Tone, directing it downward into your body.
  • Focus on how the sound vibrates and tingles in your inner body, especially in the belly.
  • No Imagination Needed: Concentrate solely on the physical sensation without any visualization.
  • Spend 5 to 10 minutes on this exercise, gradually increasing as you feel the resonance in your belly.
  • Over time, your lung capacity will strengthen, and you'll notice a richer, more resonant sound.

In this lesson, observe Amit guiding a student through the foundational Karaj exercise, showing how to settle sound in the lower octave. This grounding technique gently connects sound to the body’s core.

Exercise 2: opening the deeper levels of your being

The deeper Effect of the Karaj Exercise

When we experience emotions like fear or anger, our body reacts, often starting in the belly—the core source of our energy.

The Karaj exercise helps you reconnect with this core through sound and vibration. By resonating with the lower octave, you engage both the mental and emotional aspects of your being, grounding you firmly.

This practice is like revisiting the womb’s nourishment, bringing you back to an authentic state. It strengthens your roots, offering stability and presence in life.

See this exercise as a deep form of meditation.

Building on the first exercise, this meditation delves into the core of your being.

Through sound vibration and deep breathing, you awaken hidden channels and harmonize your nervous system.

This practice activates the parasympathetic nervous system, particularly the vagus nerve, which connects your brain, vocal cords, and diaphragm. By engaging this nerve, you shift into a flow state, enhancing your overall well-being.

Instructions and Key Points:

  • Start from the Ground tone. Start moving down, tone by tone, sinking and dropping into the lower abdomen, staying in the core.
  • Focus on Depth: Go deeper with each sound you make, like breaking through internal barriers to reach your center.
  • Feel the Resonance: Notice the vibration in the belly button area and how it spreads throughout your body.
  • Stay Consistent: Practice for 15 to 20 minutes, using the sound to awaken and activate your body's energy.
  • Observe the Change: With each session, enhance your mental focus and open the channels of your nervous system, bringing balance and strength.
  • And last but most importantly: Relax deeply!

Harmonizing your Nervous system

When we are stressed, we tend to focus outward, losing connection with our deeper selves.

Using sound to resonate deeply within the lower octave helps activate the nerves at their endpoints. This activation encourages energy to flow through the body's channels, harmonizing the nervous system.

As a result, the respiratory system functions better, and the mind calms, leading to a clearer vision and a more balanced state of being. This practice unblocks the energy flow, allowing for natural self-harmonization.

Karaj Meditation

The Karaj Meditation guides you on a journey to connect deeply with your core energy through resonant sound. Starting from a grounded base tone, this meditation flows through each energy center—chest, belly, and down to the core. With each stage, you’ll feel layers of emotions, sensations, and blockages dissolve, bringing clarity and alignment within.

Essence: Release tension and connect with your core, experiencing profound stillness and alignment as sound vibrations harmonize each level of your being.

OM Meditation

This OM meditation invites you to bring awareness to each level of your being—mind, heart, and body—connecting them in a unified sound vibration.

By beginning with a Hum and then transitioning to “OM” that resonates down through the throat and heart chakras, you create a holistic vibrational alignment.

Feel the sound descending through your body, grounding you in calm presence and releasing the flow of emotion and mindfulness.

Essence: Uniting mind, heart, and body in the sound of OM for deep, grounded presence.
